Welcome to Liberal Studies Department at LODWAR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL COLLEGE. The Liberal Studies Department formally became autonomous in January 2022. This was owing to a move by the Polytechnic’s Administration to align the Academic Departments with the Ministry’s Structural requirements. There are various academic programmes domiciled in the Liberal Studies Department. Currently, the department offers two programmes: Diploma in Social Work and Community Development and National Certificate in Social Development. The two programmes are examined by KNEC. Apart from the core programmes offered, the Department services all the Academic Departments in Communication Skills and Languages.
