Lodwar technical & vocational college was established in 2019 with a vision to build a world class prestigious institution offering innovative and high quality education, unique learning environment, state of the art facilities and infrastructure. LTVC was given accreditation status by government through Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology (MOHEST) 2011. Since its inception as a Public Tertiary Institution, dedicated effort of the Board of Govenors, Training Faculty and the college’s management brought it to the level of nationality recognition. I firmly believe that the role of Tertiary institution in the twenty first century in Kenya is to respond to phenomenal changes unleashed by rapid advancement in Science and Technology for the economic development of country as well as the challenge posed by globalization. LTVC is playing a significant role in the lives of thousands of young students and graduates of Environmental Science, Business Studies, Information Technology and Computer studies, Art, Social science and Engineering. RESOURCES

ICT COMPUTER LAB

Computers in the lab are well configured suitable for use of application softwares. ICT enabled classrooms for enriching teaching and learning process.

ENGINEERING WORKSHOP

The workshop has improved it’s training facilities over the years, especially in Mechanical,Automotive,Electrical & Civil Engineering production, by introducing state of the art training machines This has enhanced the trainings to conform to the dynamic technology experienced by most industries in Kenya

TOURISM,HOSPITALITY CATERING LAB

This enables students to develops excellent skills and sound foundation for working in a restaurant, catering or other food service enterprise. Areas covered vary from kitchen and food management to planning a menu, restaurant staffing and waiter/waitress skills.

AGRICULTURE FARM

The lvtc Farm is the place where our students literally get their hands dirty putting into practice the concepts they learn in the classroom. Current enterprises at the LVTC Farm include maize, cabbages, spinach, kale.

About Us

LTVC is a technical training institution specialising in tertiary education by offering diploma and certificate and artisan courses. it is fully registered by technical education and vocational authority(tveta).Lodwar technical and vocational is the fastest growing tvet institution in turkana county offering courses mainly by knec and cdaac plus a variety short courses that take as short as one month and 10 computer packages at an affordable fee. ltvc is located behind stegra hotel 300 meters from the main kitale lodwar highway.
